We were so blessed by the outpouring of clothing donations for the recent fire victims in Oviedo. Dozens of families found relief through the love you poured out, and God multiplied to the overflow! We have enough donations remaining to host another community-wide event—this time, for students and families getting ready to go back to school in August. Every year, some students head back to school without the tools they need to be successful. We want to help! From July 5 until July 19, we are collecting new backpacks filled with school supplies for kids in our community. You can help by purchasing a new backpack and filling it with items from the school supply list below or by registering to volunteer.
Drop off filled backpacks in the marked bin next to 45 West Coffee & Books in the Worship Center during any of our weekend services July 5 through July 19, or from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday in front of our Christian Life Center. A marked bin will be outside for your convenience.
Let’s provide new backpacks and supplies to as many children as possible this school year and show our community how much we love them! New backpacks will be given to families at our “Back-to-School” event on Saturday, August 1. All excess supplies will be donated to schools surrounding our two campuses! If you have any questions, please contact Kara Ballentine at [email protected].
